The THX Optimizer on the Disney discs aren't bad, but i was looking for something a little more powerful.... Like AVE, etc...

Any recomendations? Where to buy on the cheap?

I have AVIA, Video Essentials, Digital Video Essentials and Sound and Vision Home Theater Setup.

Get DVE, the menu is horrible but it's much cheaper and newer than AVIA.

P.S. you can rent them from the online rental places but they probably don't give you the color filters.

I totally agree. I also have DVE, VE, AVIA, S&V, and the THX calibration disks. DVE is the best, though, the menus are absolutely horrible. AVIA comes in second.

Deep Discount DVD is the cheapest place around for it.

What is it about DVE that makes you think it is the best? I had it for a short while, and I remember there being a few essential tweaks that were missing. I dont remember it having y-d/c delay screens, don't remember the color calibration being as good as AVIA...does it even have the color push scales that avia has?

I also remember hearing that the overscan pattern is off by quite a bit, making that essentially useless.
