Anyone have Benchamark tests for X1800 XT 256MB in Counter-Strike: Souce?

I would like to know what fps anyone gets with the Radeon X1800 XT 256mb video card.

Would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Mitch

I'm sure performance will be satisfactory assuming you have a somewhat modern CPU, but I dont have hard numbers to back that up. You may want to try the Video forum, though.

Don't bother looking, you'll definitely be pushing way more than 100 fps at any given resolution at max settings with AA and AF.

But don't tell me you are one of those CS kiddies who thinks they absolutely need more than 200 fps to "pwn nubz" when they are oblivious of the fact that it does absolutely nothing for them.

Haha, definitely not. I pawn with my temporary 64mb pci graphics card that gets like 13fps. I am awaiting a trade completion that's why i'm using this hunk of ****. I was just wondering, it's nice to know before buying a card.

Thanks for the replies!

You will be fine. I get 20-40fps at 1080P no AA/AF running on 9800pro 256 at XT speeds on a tbred-b 1800+ athlon. Things get shitty only when everyone decides to camp paper room with paras.

I have no idea what kind of monitor you got, but I'm sure its refresh would not match the frame rates that card would get.
You would be looking at awesome performance. Go for it.

I run an opty 170 / X1800XT configuration. Getting max fps (72 steady) sometimes depends on the map. That's with max settings. Much smoother if you reduce AA/AF to something like 2x/4x respectively. Still some fps dips on zombie maps (32 players).

As others have said, youll get enough FPS to play at max settings. I used to rock an x1800xt + amd x2 2.7ghz and played with everything on max @ 1280x1024. CS:S ain't exactly new.

I used to run my x1800xt 512 at 1920x1200 at full settings fine. At 2304x1440 I had to turn off AA, but it still looked great, and ran fine then.
