He's getting them fixed. What's the big deal? Bad teeth goes beyond just bad hygene, yaknow. I brushed and flossed all my life and bad teeth genes meant I wore braces for 5 years as a kid and then they started rotting in my mid 20's. Just the way it was. No matter how much I brushed and flossed I kept getting cavities until some teeth became more fillings than tooth. Just the way it was. So now, to prevent losing them, I've had about half of the crowned (but no root canals), and plan to have the rest finished with a couple of years. They look better and are stronger than my real teeth ever were. Modern dentistry rocks.

I haven't met many girls that I can recall with bad teeth.

I have seen some crazy bad teeth on the net but have not met anyone with teeth like this.

It would depend on the person and if I liked the person this would not stop me personally. I can over look poor teeth but haven't met anyone with bad teeth that I think f0cking hell...

I had terrible teeth up until last month. I managed to spend the allocated $1000 in that period of time . I was pretty embarassed of them for quite a while, but now that I've got them fixed...it's just so much better. O_O

Crooked teeth are alright to some extent. Stained teeth as well. As long as the person brushes at least twice a day I wouldn't really have a problem with it.

I was fortunate enough to get a good set of teeth. Perfectly straight and room enough for my wisdom teeth. My only problem is my teeth are stained from coffee and soda and such despite my brushing 2X a day.

$1000 is nothing for dental work. I spent that much last month on a single crown along with a routine cleaning and exam. Insurance will pick up about $600 of the total, I'll be out-of-pocket on the rest.

Considering I had no crowns; no braces; nothing of that sort. Bad genes resulted in decaying teeth. I brush twice a day, but that didn't stop it. Teeth are all better now. :):):)

Composite fillings only last 5 years tops.

If they were fine with their teeth and it wasn't so obnoxious to take away from my attraction to them, then I could deal and get used to it.

No kidding. I am getting a crown on one of my teeth, two fillings, and routine cleaning. Bill comes out to around $1500 AFTER insurance already picked up the rest. Of course, I did go with the better filling and crown materials.

Going to the dentist makes me cringe everytime.

pshaw :p
you can have a tendency towards decay due to genetics but that doesn't doom you to have bad teeth. i'll bet your oral hygiene habits or lack of caused the decay.

did you floss?

Where does this come from?! Is this back in the old days when English people were called 'limeys'?

I have lived in England for 18yrs and people have good teeth here. I don't meet many people that have bad teeth.

All they need is enough teeth so I don't have to grind up their meals for them. Other than that, everything's cool.
