Anyone have any tips for removing small scratches from/polishing plexiglass?

I scratched the bezel of my tv with my fingernail and was wondering if it is possible to remove the scratches. If not, no biggie, but I'm curious if it's possible and if so, how easy. Thanks!
 
is it plexiglass or polystyrene aka cheap as sh*t cd case plastic.

they seem to have cut costs on tv by using the weakest sauce plastics on the bezels..if your finger nail scratches it lol sad. it might be polystyrene or not..i have no idea..i've just seen how fragile those shiny bezels are..

polishing plastic is probably not a fun task.

Yeah I had no idea it would be THAT soft. Fucking Samsung. I just wanna clean it up...filling it in is just as good for me if that is an option. Really superficial scratches.
 
You could try toothpaste or jewelers rouge. You could also go the other way and sand it. Give it a brushed, or matte finish :^D

I used to just apply it to a lint free cloth (I used an old t-shirt) and rub in a straight line to the outside of the disc. I was always told not to do circular as it would cause additional scratches. Basically you just want to use the abrasiveness of the toothpaste to even our the surface around the scratch. It would take a couple of minutes, then I would wipe away the excess toothpaste with a slightly damp cloth.

The materials used in CD's might be different than your TV though, so I can't say for sure that this would work for you.
 
The only way to restore plastic back to its original surface would be to use a filler of some sort, everything else is just widening the scratched area enough to make it less visible.
