I just put 1 on 24hr hold ..as it is the only 1 still on "special".
But, i don't feel all that comfortable not knowing a thing about the variant.

I assume it is top quality but..

I too would like to know more about the ASUS 8800GTS, as it's the only one available in my country at this time.

So if anyone has seen any reviews, please post a linky 🙂 (I haven't been able to locate any by myself - yet.)

According to this, 'The [G80] boards were designed by ASUSTeK, and feature a departure from usual suspects at Micro-Star International. This is also the first ever black graphics card from nVidia. Bear in mind that every 8800GTX and 8800GTS is manufactured by ASUS.'

Which sounds kind of reassuring, IMO. But I seem to remember stumbling on another site that said the boards were made by MSI (like the boards from the previous generation), so I'm not totally sure about the validity of that article.

Maybe someone else knows for sure?
 
AFAIK they are all the same except for the heatsink sticker, software bundle, and the customer support/warranty for the particular brand.
