Anyone have any ideas on how to take the rubber off ping pong paddles?

This is correct. HOWEVER if you are using some pre-made hardbat paddles (the kind with no sponge and bumpy rubber), it will be difficult...

if its a prepackaged crap paddle, don't bother

otherwise, just peel it off slowly. too fast and you might tear the foam.
store the rubbers rubber to rubber, NOT foam to foam.

to reglue, put a very thin layer on both the foam side AND the blade and then line everything back up.

i used to reglue everyday

why? I wouldn't bother to make any changes to the pad until the rubber turns shiny, in which case is usually a new pad...

because fresh glue performs differently than glue thats been dry for more than a few hours or days

now i only reglue once a month or so, and now i use rubber cement (and a carbon fiber laced blade)

Probably call up a BDSM shop or club and ask them how they do it. Happy paddling.

Why? You can get ones without them anyway....it's not like they are terribly expensive.
