Anyone have any ideas for the best baseball game yet this season?

Maybe because of plays or comebacks. Due to excellent pitching or just because a team scored 10 runs in an inning.

Arecent one that comes to mind is San Diego vs. Philadelphia. Philly picked up 1 run in the top of the 10th and San Diego then got 2 runs in the bottom for an instant win.

I have no idea how much ATOT follows baseball. I guess I'll find out.

How about the 20 inning game between St. Louis and Florida that was ended when Fernando Vina hit an RBI single for his first hit of the game (0 for 9 until the hit).

I honestly haven't watched all that many games this year the whole way through. The best one I've personally seen from start to finish was the Braves/Astros game last Thursday. It was back and forth through the whole game with the Astros down by one and having a chance to win it in the bottom of the 9th with Smoltz nearly blowing the save. Naturally being a Braves fan I was pleased the Braves won, but it would've still been a great game given the back and forth nature it had going.

Yankees 7 game season sweep of the Twins. I know it's not one game, but Twins haven't been able to beat the yankees for over 2 years.

Also that fairly recent Yankee game where they scored multiple runs in the bottom of extra innings for an instant win.

I agree with the No-hitter against the Giants. Living in the bay area but being a Braves fans, I get in a lot of fights with Giants fans. What made it even sweeter (or worse, considering he's no longer ours) was that Millwood, the former Braves, did it

the one where the tigers lost to a pitcher who didn't throw a pitch

Millwood's no-hitter, which I was lucky enough to be at.

Most fun I've had at a game since David Cone's perfect game against Montreal in July 1999.

Damn I've had some good fortune in choosing games to go to.

I was at the game. Owned? 1 earned run that "barely" made the shortest part of the park. Oakland won, but they did not "own". Heh, whoever threw that ball back had a nice arm, got it all the way to the pitchers mound from the right field stands (ya, that was the highlight of the game for us Yankee fans).

like jaydee said, i wouldn't say owned. being an A's fan i love it when the yankee's lose. i was at work so i missed the game but watching sportscenter and seeing that beautiful zito curve striking out giambi was sweet. it was also great to see foulke get the save after blowing it yesterday.

it was a great pitcher's duel, would have been a 1-0 win but the error got the a's that extra run. hatteberg said it best:
Cy Young vs. Cy Old.

of course millwood's no hitter has to take the cake. the 20inning game had to be so boring, like watching a doubleheader with no break.

gotta agree here...the diamondacks and mets played a double header that day and played less innings :)
