I just got a new machine that had windowsMe installed on it... it going fine now, but I had to spend 6hours getting it that way. about 2 hours into it, between reboots and seeing that incessant logo come up over and over, I screamed,

"WindowsFVCKme!!!"

my wife said "anything i can do to help?"

"ARGH"

Right now I'm dual-booting ME and Win2K, but I've had no problems in ME and I play a lot of UT. If ME keeps being stable for me I might get rid of Win2K alltogether.

WinME is great for me. I am using relatively new hardware (system rig) and I definately know what I'm doing and I do play games once in awhile. UT, CS (which I played for like 2 days before deleting it!), and Rogue Spear all run flawlessly for me- so gaming is not an issue.

It's a lot more stable than Win98SE was for me too!

I can't really go to W2k because I have an Aureal Superquad- a card which never got W2k drivers. :( Not to mention, I don't need to- I never crash in WinME...note: it's I never crash in WinME- some people do and went back to Win98SE. I reformatted about a week ago and went to Win98SE for a day- it sucked in comparison- just some nice little features in WinME that were nice- not to mention WinME was a lot more stable. So I formatted again and I'm back on WinME! :D

I've had excellent success with WinME. I've built nine PC's with WinME and all run like a top.

ME has been nothing but constant problems on my little cousins comp. Personally I use Win2k.
