Processor: Virtual Server virtualizes the physical central processing unit (CPU) on Intel Pentium III, Pentium 4 and Xeon processor systems. While Virtual Server supports multiprocessor systems up to 32-way, guest operating systems only see a single CPU per VM.
Memory: Virtual Server supports up to 64GB RAM on the host system and up to 3.6GB per VM. Large memory support on highly scalable systems is contingent on being enabled by PAE (Physical Addressing Extensions) and AWE (Advanced Windowing Extensions) on the host system.
SCSI Storage: Virtual Server emulates the Adaptec 7870 SCSI controller chipset, with up to 4 virtual SCSI adapters. Each SCSI hard drive can be up to 2 TB and each virtual SCSI adapter can support up to 7 virtual SCSI hard drives for a total direct-connect storage capacity of over 56TB per VM.
Ethernet Controller: Virtual Server emulates the multi-port DEC 21140 10/100TX 100Mbit Ethernet network interface card (NIC) with 1 to 4 network connections, multiplexed on a single virtual PCI slot. An unlimited number of virtual networks are supported.
