Anyone have any experience with Etronics.com?

Planning on purchasing a headunit for my car... their price seems to be one of the lowest... I already checked reseller ratings + other rating sites but I am asking here because I don't trust RR anymore due to tons of stories I heard from numerous people.

So have you ordered anything from them? If yes, please post your experience 🙂 Thanks!

I've never actually ordered anything from them but I use them a lot to pricematch stuff at Sound Domain.

Hey,
They're a legit store in NYC but their prices are often so low that I wonder if they sell gray market goods... I use them to pricematch though.

See that's what I don't want... I want a legit, fully authorized dealer ... I am planning on buying a $300 + headunit and I don't want to be left with nothing if anything goes wrong with it in a few months...

If you read their fine print, they are not authorized for half the gear they sell, and they don't seem to list any kind of "house" warranty to replace the manufacturer's (unless you buy an extended warranty).

Several people here have recommended them in the past, but be careful what brands you buy. www.jandr.com and www.onecall.com have some decent prices and don't sell grey market. Crutchfiled.com has high prices on everything except closeouts but they have excellent services.

Thanks for the response but neither one of those sites sell car mp3 receivers 🙁

my friends go to the etronics store to get stuff. they are fine and sell good stuff... i've never bought from them before but i know where they are.

I bought a $120 remote control from them a few weeks ago and had no problem with it.

came in the mail a few days after ordering, and the remote works great.

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from eTronics, and have had absolutely zero problems. Ship fast, low cost, so I'm all for it.

I bought an Infinity Kappa sub from them almost a year ago. Came completely retail, factory box. However, as someone stated above, I don't think they're "authorized" by many, if any, of the companies they sell. The sub blew a few days ago and etronics has agreed to take it back for "repair" after I emailed them about it. I'll gladly let you know how it goes (I haven't sent it back yet).

Hmmm, thanks for the response all. Well, I am not sure if they are an authorized dealer for Pioneer, so I am going to call them and ask (pioneer). If they are, I'll probably get it from them as they are $200 cheaper than Crutchfield.

Thanks all!
