Here's the situation: I have a 512MB stick of PC2100 ECC REG memory I bought from Crucial sometime last year, and now it's dead. Instead of just throwing it in the garbage and paying ~$105 for a new one, I want to try returning it for an exchange.
I've looked over Crucial's site, but there are 2 things I'm not sure of:
1. Seeing as this RAM has been in service since the middle of 2002, and only died last week, will they still accept an RMA?
2. They say that the RAM must be shipped to them in the original box and antistatic bag. I've got boxes and bags from other memory I've bought from them, but not the ones I got this stick in. Will they accept this?
Thanks for any advice!
