I just got rid of my razr and picked up the SE W810i. I love it. After 2 weeks the only thing i found that i disliked about it was the location of the cancel button.

I thought about the VX 8600. but got a good deal on the 8300 so got that. i like it a lot.
I'm not sure about the 8300. As far as specs and reviews go, it's supposedly the one to get, but it's just too round and big for me. I want something I can slip in my pocket easily - I have trouble getting the v710 out around my wallet. I ordered one of those Slimmy wallets off Amazon to help with that, but it'd still be nice to have a slim phone.

I dropped by Circuit City after work today; they have a Verizon kiosk inside the store. I really like how the VX8600 looks, but it has a similar feel to the Razr...a little too wide for my tastes. The buttons I could live with, but they aren't my favorite. I also played with the Samsung 930, but the exterior display really didn't do it for me. No real reason to upgrade from my v710 for that one. The one I liked the most - surprisingly - was the Krzr, the mini razor. It felt really nice in my hand and the buttons seemed a lot nicer than the Razr's, for some reason. I even preferred it over the VX8600's plastic keypad. The sales rep said a lot of people complained about the phone's battery, saying it only lasted a day. Hah, my v710 with extended battery lasts about 2 hours, so that sounds great to me.
So, anyone have a Krzr?![]()

For folks who don't want to buy ringtones from VZW, just send an email with your mp3 or wav as an attachment to yournumber@vzwpix.com.
Once you receive it on the phone, just save it. Bingo, free ringtone.

I just bought the extended battery ($37.49 after $12.50 government employee discount, the accounts in my dad's name). It not only lasts about twice as long as the standard battery, but it really helps balance the phone and give it some real heft. I recommend it even if you really don't need the extra battery life.
Also, the KRZR, while I don't have any real experience with it, isn't so much a mini razr, as much as it's kind of a squished razr. I also know the Fire KRZR looks sweet.

I'm a little confused, did you get the extended battery for the original Razr? Also I really liked the KRZR display model at the Verizon kiosk, it was kind of like Gunmetal with clearcoat, really interesting material choice.

No, sorry, I don't have a Razr. I posted earlier in the thread; I have the Chocolate.
There's currently 3 models of KRZR phone: Gray (probably the Gunmetal one you describe) which is pretty much all one color, Fire which is a sparkly red, and White which is silver/gray in the middle with white accents.

I got the wife the VX8600, she's pretty happy with it. The menu lags a bit. The glossy black finish is damn sexy.

Oooh gotcha, I lose track after half a page of posts in a threadThe silver one must be the one I played with.
I was talking with one of the sales reps about the iPhone; he said he had gotten an email that morning saying it was having problems. He said some other interesting stuff, like that new TV phones are coming out this quarter - live TV streaming rather than downloading (non-3G though). Sounds interesting...
