Does anyone here have any exotic pets? I really want to get a Fennec Fox so i'm trying to research it first and make sure it's something "doable" .... anyone have one or another exotic pet?

Any links about exotic pets and legality issues would be appreciated as well!!

she took a dump right in front of the front door today:|

I'd sh1t on your carpet too if all my master was doing is bragging online about a stupid cell phone instead of taking me for a walk😉

I don't really consider them exotic: miniature llamas, alpaca, peacocks, fainting goats
But, they're considered "exotics" in some farming circles.

i have 4 chinchillas

the biggest thing you need to ask yourself about an exotic pet is if you are willing to take care of it because they often have special requirements, and also, can you find a vet capable of treating it if it gets sick? most vets have no idea about exotic animals and will do their best but they honestly dont know what the heck they are doing

for instance, there has not been nearly as much research down with chinchilla sicknesses as with dog sicknesses, and we have had a few issues where the vet really wasnt quite sure what to do and had to try to base it off other rodents, we had one die because of this..but it was our only hope of helping and we didnt know any better at the time

I used to have an african pygmy hedgehog. But that's not very exotic. My sister had a sugar glider though.

When we were kids my brother had a pet monkey . . .

for about 3 days. Then back to the shop he went!

When bro brought monkey home it immediately escaped & lived 3 days in the garage rafters, uncatchable.

Having a monkey up high above is NOT a sanitary situation. Yuck-o!!!

I have exotic pet fish living in a tank that's about to fall apart.

I have a quaker parrot, a cockatiel, a rabbit, and a degu. So yea, sorta. . .

I had a tarantula - but evidently it died. . .

My pet candy bar. His name is snickers.

Ooooohhhh.. Can I come over and pet him?

Yes, but watch out for his nuts.

Don't pet it too long or you'll get goo all over your hands.

What I've got is semi-exotic: a ball python.
