Best Buy has it for $30 after rebates... read some reviews on it, and it seems overall it's a bit slow at printing, but prints very good quality. Anyone have any personal experience with it? Or plan to pick it up at Best Buy also?

i have the c80 which is a slightly lesser version of the c82 and it prints great 8x10 photos and superfast b&w. sucks ink like a tank though. also, i think best buy is completely out of them for the deal you are refering too.

I have a C80 as well and agree with you about the quality and the endless supply of ink needed. All injets use a lot of ink though.

I, too, own a C80. I bought it after seeing the photos that came from my cousin's C60. Both are great all-round printers, but the individual ink tanks on the C80/82 is a great money saving feature. FWIW, my C80 is now used for general colour printing, my Epson PhotoStylus 960 now handles the printing of my digital photos.

How many 8x10's would you say you'd get from a new set of ink tanks? And how much do the color tanks costs and how much does the black cost?

I have one, but we don't do much photo printing, we got it cheap, so have no idea about how many photo-quality prints you'll get. I do know ink is about 34 for black and about 40 for color (all three) or about 12 each for one color.

Is it worth $30? Or would I be better of spending a little more on something better?

I have the Epson Stylus Color 880, which the C80 or C82 supposedly replaced. It's a good printer, and mine seems to be pretty ink-efficient; I'm saddened to hear that the newer models are worse in this area. :(

The Costco's up here in Canada sell all four inks for the C80/82 for the price of three.

For $30 I'd say it's a great deal. I bought mine for $99 a while ago. The quality is good for what it is used for in my house. (Girlfriend does digital design/art classes and uses it to print out finished projects) The color is great, the speed is pretty good, and it is all in all a good printer. I do find ink on the expensive side, but I find that is the case with all inkjets. I am looking for a laser to fit my printing needs, because all I do is black and white and toner would last me a long time over ink does.
