Anyone have an AMD64 processor with an Ati Radeon 9800 pro?

If so, how is your system running? I think that my videocard isn't performing like it should due to my motherboard. I tried to update the bios and it died. I got the replacement and am hesitant to update the bios again the way asus told me to. Anyway, I have just been running Aquamark 3 on all my computers on my home network. My computer has a Radeon 9800 Pro along with the best system in the house. However that system has a P4 3Ghz processor and I have an Athlon64 3000. When I ran AM3 on both systems the best computer's videocard score came out to 5622 and mine a crappy 1536. Which also happens to be lower than the other cards in the other (weak) computers on the network. The others have Asus GeForce4 Ti4400's. I can't explain it. I have installed the drivers that came with the card then installed Ati's latest. What the hell is going on? Does anyone know? How are your scores?

Prior to me upgrading to a x800xt, I had a 9800Pro running with my AMD64 3400+. No problems at all as far as I can remember. The system ran fine and was very fast.

With my 3000+ and my 9800 Pro I got about 6100. The motherboard I have is the AK86-L

It'll run fine. The most important thing to remember is the chipset drivers. Also check your control panel and make sure you aren't forcing the likes of vsync or AA.

ha ha..... FINALLY! I was playing around with the motherboard disk and stumbled upon the ViA 4 in 1 drivers. Now my videocard is really kicking butt. with aquamark 3 the score is now: 43634. GFX 5724 and CPU 9173. I will post later with the 3DMark score.

I was just going to recommend that too. After I reinstalled my OS, I noticed AGP was disabled without those drivers.

you really need to update to the 4.51 version of the 4-in-1 drivers. They are on the via website. My score went from 5200 to 6000 after going from 4.48 to 4.51 !
