I decided last year to get my act together and am declaring CS soon (hopefully) ... my grades are not consistent at all ... they can be As or Cs depending on nothing more than my focus that day. I've studied for midterms, and gone in and blanked out and failed them, or just been 'in the zone' and aced them. Now that I think about it, I probably should go back to my medication. It did quiet me down, and stifle my natural creativity but it's a hell of a lot better than being distracted by shiny things.

You panicked, I do it too. To fix this just start writing down bullshite down and it will eventually come to you. My last final was last week, I totally blanked out and had sweat dropping and going places I never knew existed, but I just started writing down words that associated with my class and everything started to come back to me after 20 minutes of panicking. I ended up making a 100 on the test. :)

My son was diagnosed with ADD. The doctor perscribed Ritalin. I debated weather or not to give it to him do to all the horror stories I've heard and seen (my cousin was diagnosed and they gave it to him like it was candy he is not mentally slow). I gave in. It was night and day difference. His grades shot up through the roof and he (two years later) is enrolled in Gate (which is classes for gifted childred). The medicine helped him concentrate.

This medicine is NOT a wonder drug. We were lucky.
