Yeah, collecting cast iron tools is pretty weird. BTW, why do they call it cast iron when it contains high amounts of carbon? Why not cast steel?

I'll bet fapping is high on everybody's list. :)

Slowly starting a collection of antique tools.
Do genetic algorithm research in my spare time (of which I have none right now)

You mean Labidochromis caeruleus (sp?), the Electric Yellow Labido? Those things are awesome. My cichlid tank is down for maintenance, and I don't have any at this time. :(

Oh, and my other unusual (as far as non-computer-addicted people are concerned) hobbies are programming with PHP and MySQL, spending obscene amounts of time on online forums ( ;) ), playing in Photoshop and 3dsmax.

I also train my Shetland Sheepdog for obedience. She is in 4-H dog club, which holds casual "dog obedience trials" that mimick the real AKC ones. Right now we're learning how to lie down directly from a standing position (normally the dog will be told to sit first, and then down), and I'm trying to convince her that it actually can be fun to retrieve a dumbbell (shelties don't seem to find that especially appealing).

My step-moms father used to make miniature working steam engines ... very cool!

Yeah.... I've wanted to get into model engine building for a while. I eventually want to buy my own Sherline tools and start making things like that.
