Anyone have a Super Automatic espresso maker?

I'm in the market for a super auto espresso maker. I am looking at the new generation maker from Solis, the Palazzo. Any ever use one? I know a super auto will not make the best espresso by a long shot, but I am sure it will be adequate for my needs... the convenience factor is a big one for me. I can sacrifice a bit of quality for that.

Anyone have thoughts on the Solis or say a Saeco Incanto?

The Solis Palazoo looks very nice -- but I don't know about the brand.

When I did some research a few years ago (looking at the Saeco Classico, non-automatic) -- my impression was that Saeco was the way to go for quality.
But I don't have experience with any of the super automatics.

The Solis and Saeco look very similar (attractive) and are similarly priced. Unless I found really good reviews of the Solis, I'd probably go with the Saeco.

If you've never had a good espresso machine before.... be prepared for some good coffee!

A super auto will never match the quality of a manual setup like this; however, if you prefer more milk-based drinks than espresso you'll likely find it suitable. I would at least encourage you to research further, because you might very well find yourself dumping the super auto in a short time, and that could be a big financial hit. A little extra effort in learning can get you an exceptional espresso; the super auto is going to leave you with mediocre, at best.

I know you didn't want to hear all that, but I had to suggest it anyway. Both Solis and Saeco produce a quality machine, but I tend to prefer Solis. I encourage you to read the reviews on CoffeeGeek for the machines you are considering purchasing.

Coffeegeek has no reviews on the Palazzo, just on the old series. Almost all the gripes mentioned in the review for the old one are supposedly largely corrected with the Palazzo.

I'm not a big fan of Saeco, but the Incanto Digital seems pretty decent.

For those curious, I ordered up a Saeco Incanto. I will hopefully get it within the next couple days. The Solis didn't review as well as I hoped but that particular Saeco reviewed very well.
