Anyone have a scar tatoo?

That hurts and smells. I won't do it. I have ink tats and some piercings. I'll stay with that. I don't need to smell myself cooking.

I've never seen one "done". Was the person able to handle the pain once they got into the zone more or less?

I've not seen it done in person. I watched a thing about it. Plus, common sense and cooking experience tell me it's going to smell. You don't burn flesh without odor.

Thanks for the correction Lilpima!

Ohhh... I thought they were tattoo that looked like carvings.

Damn, that would hurt.

Wouldn't you need to be a doctor to do that legally?
How many doctor tattoo artists are there?

Yeah..but if we taste like pork..might smell like a pork roast

As of right now its too much of an investment to do, though in the future I might try to get one done on my back shoulder or something.

Do you really require that much attention from people to get a tattoo??

I have tattoos already, hidden very well to easily cover up so I don't *get* attention. Some people just enjoy it.

Would the tat have to be pretty large then? Probably can't get very fine resolution with the unpredictability of healing

My tattoos didn't really hurt much. I have a really high pain tolerance. I still wouldn't do scarring. Mine are also hidden, and most people wouldn't guess I have them. Ditto my piercings. I look quite sweet and innocent when you meet me, it's funny to me how people have this very different perception of me.

I don't have any ink - the fiancee does - and I have no problem with 'normal' inked tattoos. I just can't quite wrap my brain around this sort of thing. I have ~6" surgical scars running down the outside of each of my thighs and I have absolutely positively no desire at all to have any other major scarring on my body.
