I just bought a NEC2510 from newegg, and they sent me 5 free DVD+R media. I burned one and tried to play it in my Samsung DVD-V2000, but I got a really strange "check tv system" error. Does anyone have one of these samsung VHS/dvd combo players? get dvd+/-R to read? I searched google and found some reviews but there doesn't seem to be any agreement. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Sometimes experimentation is the only way. 
Had a similar situation with a family members DVD player. Just kept trying various kinds until I found the ONE brand and format that worked in that machine(TDK -R). TDK and Ritek seem to be the most compatible for my family and friends. HTH
