Anyone Have A Saltwater Aquarium?

From what I've already read, live rock works as a better filter than man-made products? Correct?

Shrimp are important for keeping the tank "clean" right? Or are other tank cleaners used; snails??

Yes, live rock will handle all the biological filtration in the tank.

Ted's given you some good advice here. Saltwater aquariums aren't particularly difficult, but they do cost more, and require a bit more maintenance than most freshwater tanks. IMO, the payoff of a beautiful reef tank is worth the added expense and work.
Another GREAT forum to visit is www.reefsanctuary.com. NONE of the horrible flamewars that can occure rather frequently on Reef Central, and everyone is happy to help with any kind of problem or question. One of the best on the intatweb IMO. Not as big as RC, but much more friendly...

True, reefsanctuary is good.. Then again, if he's used to ATOT, RC should be a cakewalk.
