Anyone have a Lawn-Boy mower

we have a Lawn Boy Snowblower, 5.5 HP, 22 inch self propelled

Very good machine but it did give us a problem once, which was our fault.
We did not start it for ~18 months with gas left in the tank.

If it's a 2-cycle model, keep in mind that you'll have to mix the gas and oil. Lawn Boy mowers used to be one of the best, I'm not sure how they stand up nowadays, though.

A few months back, I was at Home Depot and noticed a returned Lawn Boy mower for $99. It was still very clean and was selling for less than half the original price. I had to resist hard from buying it. Then again, I had a 2- month old Honda-powered Craftsman mower in the garage which has been great.

yes it is a 2 cycle, that is one thing that is dissuading me a bit

Its brand new, was $399, now $199 and I have a 10% coupon too.......and I do need a new mower.....

I have a lawnboy mower- it has been fine for the past 3 years.
Just do not let anyone borrow it- because they WILL fill it up with regulad gas and the motor will die.

I have a seperate gas can that says "Lawnboy Mower Only" on it, and I use lawn boy oil in the gas, I have not had any problems.

LawnBoy is wicked.. my mother won one about 15 years ago.. maybe more... still works perfect to this day! minor probs like blade sharpening and stuff... no real problems with it.
