Anyone have a HP LaserJet 4+ Printer?

Would someone be kind enough to post a picture of what is underneath the metal paper tray or just explain? I dislodged the paper counter clip and can't figure out how to get it back to working condition again. I think I am missing something underneath the metal holding tray.

Thank you very much.

Awesome,

On the paper tray there is a lever to count the paper. I removed the metal plate for the paper and reinstalled it. Now, the lever doesn't work correctly anymore.

I wanted to know if:
1. There is some kind of spacer or object underneath the metal paper plate.
2. How to correctly install the paper counter lever and that metal corner that helps hold the paper in.

Hopefully, this will clarify things. Thanks.

Jay

Probably, there is an area for a mount of somesort. I just need some confirmation. Then either find where it went or go online to purchase it.

if you look on the left hand side of the papertray, theres a metal edge of sorts, that holds the corner of the paper down. That plastic paper counter I think your talking about, should come up underneath of that metal piece. So whenever a piece of paper is taken out, and it gets pressed down you can see that lever move. Try it once, push the stack of paper down, and it should push on the plastic lever which goes to the green paper counter on the front of the drawer. See if that helps at all? Let me know

Right. Does the plastic lever which has the paper switch go underneath the metal plate? As speculated, I think I am missing a piece underneath the metal plate.
