Anyone have a battery bank that they actually like?

I've gone through three battery banks, all of them highly rated on Amazon, and they either:

- don't seem to have anywhere near the capacity they advertise. I'm lucky to get two charges out of, say, a 10,000 mAh pack on my S5.

- have an obnoxious light or display that is always on when charging the phone, which drains itself unnecessarily.

- have features that don't quite work right. I bought and returned a pack that said it can be hooked up to the wall outlet and it would charge both the battery and the connected phone at the same time when daisy-chained. Well, it charged, but the phone charged at an abysmal ~350ma rate that would often just drop to zero. I left it charging for a night and the phone was still dead in the morning. It also dies when it's "charging" as I'm using it, because 0-350mA isn't enough to keep up with the phone's power draw. This is after it was hooked up to a 1.5A port and after the bank itself was already at 100%....

So, anyone have recommendations for a power bank that actually works as advertised? And has the daisy-chain charging capability?

I bought a Monoprice branded battery several years ago. I don't use it a lot but I have never had a problem with it. You might look into their current offerings and see what people are saying.

Without saying what you've owned, making recommendations may well be pointless.

We have an Anker and like it well enough.

Currently using an Anker Powercore 20000 QC and a Jackery Pop Slim. The former is pretty outstanding in terms of capacity and charging speed, if slightly "plasticky" in its feel and appearance (mitigated somewhat by the mesh slipcase it comes in). The latter has a lot less capacity (5000mah) but is amazingly compact (think iPhone 2g in length/width but considerably thinner). I have no real complaints with either.

Ive also had issues with alot of the cheaper power banks. However i have 2 RAVPower ones and they both work great, i would recommend this brand, they arnt the cheapest but they do work.

We've had 2 ankers purchased in April 2015 and they still work great.
An Astro E1 5200mAh and a 2nd gen Astro mini 3200mAh

I have an Anker Powercore 10050. It's been amazingly great. I can charge my tablet (zenpad z10) and s7e both to full, with quickcharge before I have to recharge the battery. It's also solidly built with an aluminum case and a ring of lights on the power button that light up to show capacity and charging status, but do go out.
