So now you're calling me a fatass? ;)

Actually, we all got fitted for the chair when they bought them.

I laugh because you capitalized H in your username. :D

(wait, I capitalized the two L's in mine for no good reason... damn!) :(

I used an Aeron for about a year in my old job. It was nice but I could not see spending $700-1000 on one. The chair was supportive, but not especially comfortable, and I imagine there are a lot of great options (Steelcase, etc.) when you are spending that kind of cake.

I have one and have been sitting in it for 9 months, 15 hours a day....

1 complaint: I should have demanded a size C from my boss :)

Dude $420 is a steal. How'd they manage that?
They probably bought a ton of them.

When I stayed at the wyndham, they had aeron chairs. I wasn't too impressed with them, it was comfortable, but not really any more so then the chair my father custom ordered from some office furniture company. And like someone said, I like fabric chairs because it's not so hard on your khakis.

i've heard different accounts... when i was working at ign, we had aeron chairs and they were great. it depends on how much you sit in front of your computer, and how good your back is. but if i could afford it, i would buy another aeron chair.

I did some work at an office that was full of them. I was shocked at how comfortable they are. The price shocks me too. I really want one........

I'm pretty happy with my global ergo type chair. Also costs a heck of a lot less.

LOL $420 you overpaid!

My dad got one for $100...one of his clients went bust so he ransacked the place (cheap Xeon servers, herman miller chairs, coffee maker, sofa, Tektronix Phaser, CDMavica etc. etc. etc!!!)

Aeron chair rock, had one at work once for a year. It was the most comfortable chair I ever sat in, except for those big comfy leather ones. Plus, your butt never gets hot because of the holes in the fabric.

The mesh fabric is probably one of the chair's best features and a selling point for me, because it's pretty hot where I live.

They are definitely worth it. We have them in the government (I worked for the Coast Guard this summer), and they're probably one of the most comfortable office chairs I've ever sat in. The only problem is, when you purchase things for the government, you have to buy from one of the preferred vendors first, if they have a 'comparable' product. A company makes one similiar to this, and now you can only get them if you get a special waiver (which isn't too hard to get). They last, too. You won't see one missing a wheel, or an arm. Oh, and the mesh is so nice; it lets air circulate to you.
