My company was considering a cheap knockoff of this chair that wasn't nearly as good, and GET THIS! MSRP: $999!!!!! The cheap knockoff was even more expensive than the real thing! WTF! I complained but I don't think they cared.

When I was shopping for a new desk chair I couldn't find one that was really that comfy. I think the ones at the office supply stores are just cheap junk. I wanted something really comfortable, because I spend alot of time at my desk. Aeron's seemed to get great reviews from just about everyone, but I wanted to sit in one before I bought it. I ended up driving up to Stanford just to sit in one for 5 minutes.

I ended up buying an size C Aeron in Lead. I paid $719 shipped and that was by far the best price I could get for one chair.

I'm sitting in it now and I can tell you it is super comfortable. It's got many adjustments, so anyone can adjust it to their likings. I've had many people knock the chair saying that I've paid too much for it. After sitting in it, everyone agrees that it is a great chair. If you spend alot of time sitting, the Aeron is well worth every penny.

a chair for $420. i don't think any chair is worth that much.

Actually, Viper GTS has one of the most comfortable office chairs that I've ever had the pleasure of planting my ass in. It's black leather. :) Ones similar in look and feel that I was looking at easily cost $400.

We've had them at work for a few years now.

THEY SUCK. I find them to be uncomfortable, and lacking support in certain areas. Not to mention that the nice breathable mesh on the seat and back is mildly abrasive and wrecks your khakis.

Other than that, they've been worth the thousands that my company spent on them.

n8magic, you sure that's a real aeron, not a knock off?

I'm sitting in it right now... and the back right near the top has the Herman Miller logo. That, and I know how much the company paid for them... they're legit.

... and I still don't like em. Give me a fat-ass leather executive chair over this thing anytime. :D

I know this seems like a stupid question, but have you tried adjusting it?

When you head to your local "Healthy Back" store, they charge $799 for the Aeron chair. We've had them at work for a few years now. I used to need a size "C", but since I'm getting healthy, I'm very comfortable in a size "B". If you're going to be at your desk for extended periods of time, these chairs are the way to go.

Of course, i've tried every combination that I could. Don't get me wrong, they're not terrible, but I don't see what the big fuss is about.

They're not that good.

alright, just making sure :). IIRC Areon makes 3 different body sizes and maybe yours is too small?
