Right now I connect iPod thru cassette adaptor in my car and it works well but I wouldn't mind cutting wires loose. iTrip sound slike a wonderful accessorie but I am wondering about the reception quality. Can anyone share first-hand experience?

Thanks, that's a great iPod website.

The iTrip alone makes me want to buy an iPod. Of course I can also use it as an MP3 player or even portable hard drive (our laptop has FireWire).

Here's a great review of the iTrip including pics!

That is one interesting product.
But in the end it still use FM reception, not much of an upgrade from casette adapter.
I'm thinking of getting an A/V out for my Alpine receiver.
That way I can connect the iPod via Y Audio to the receiver AUX Mode.
When I use the Y Audio connection on my HT, it sound great so I hope it will be the same in the car.
Slightly cheaper solutions since the Y cable and A/V for alpine will set me back around $25.

I think I'll wait for the 5th generation of iPod to be released, prob sometime in 2005.

I want color and to be able to play games.

Anyone know if the iTrip is better than those iRock fm transmitters? It works well like 60% of the time then it gets staticy..

probably a downgrade from cassette, atleast with acassete theres no chance of interference.

its nothing new, fm tranmitters for use inside cars have been out for quite a while.

best off getting a headunit with line in on front.

or one that plays mp3s
