I have no problem with my Cordless Optical, but I want to ask if there is anything bad to place the receiver near a speaker? Mine is 3 inches only away with one of my speakers. However there is no problem, the mouse cursor moves fine, keyboard is fine too. But I want to know if there will be/may be a continuous interferrence with my setup? Will there be a problem hiding behind after a long use of this? Logitech recommends the receiver should be placed 6 or 8 inches away from any electronic product. And you know, this keyboard and mouse combo is really expensive that I don't want any damage to it...

Thanks for any input.

Mwing, I used to use the k/b and mouse, but after spilling Diet Coke on my k/b, I am down to just my cordless Mouseman. From past experience, I've owned three cordless mice and k/b's over the years, once you find a place for the receivers that you do not suffer any interference problem, regardless of the location relative to a speaker, you will not suffer any "long term" effect on your equipment. Hope this helps.

Mwing: I have the Logitech Cordless Freedom (with cordless optical) and my receiver is right next to a Klipsch Satellite, and nothing is wrong with it. ;) Just letting ya know. :)

I've had the ergo set for nearly two years now, and the receiver's been sitting on my monitor the whole time with no ill effect.

i have the optical corless mouseman and the itouch cordless. both receivers are next to if not within 1ft of my speakers. i never had a problem with it. only thing that bothers me is that i'm lazy and sometimes don't feel like replacing the batteries when Windows tells me to and it lags.
