Yup, no issues with drive
Took it real cool for the week as per docs instructions but I don't think I needed to, but better safe than risk complications. Going to the dentist is worse.

I had one done 4 years ago. If it has slowed my libido down, I can't tell. My wife and I still have sex on average of 4 to 5 times a week. Nothing to worry about there.

yes, in 1999 i got mine.
for me it hurt like a bitch, especially when she clamped my vas. i about came off the table, felt like a baseball bat just nailed me right in the nuts.
afterwards, i sat around on the couch with a bag of frozen peas on my sack, while my wife pampered me like a king.
had some swelling, sack got to be about a big as a softball for a few days then it was over. some twinges of pain when i sat down too fast or got up too fast.
other than that, no problems, and orgasms feel exactly the same. if anyting my sex drive has gone up. now i dont have to worry about impregnation

Does it change the consistency of your man juice? I always wondered what it would do to the actual ejaculate. I am seriously thinking about getting this done as I don't need any more kids than the 2 I already have. Although my wife just hinted that she would like another soon.

Been toying with the idea, curious to hear any firsthand experiences... is it the magic bullet that does nothing other than remove the ability to reproduce? Or are there libido changes, etc..?

Have at it!
I had the same experience. Mine was done 10.5 years ago, it hurt like hell. I had no drugs, only an local so that I would not feel the sack get cut. When they put the clamps on, OMFG!! I was out of action for weeks. I did go back to work 3 days later but I could have used an entire week of recuperation I think.Originally posted by: broon
Here's the deal. Been there, had it done. Hurt like someone was crushing them in a vice...way up in the gut. Seems like I'm the rarity on this one. BUT you should still milk it for a week. Also, it works at least three days later...no pain...no gain.

Man... that's rough. Mine didn't even require stitches.

Uh...no. It's not that complicated a procedure to where any doc worth his salt would eff it up. Your friend has been cuckolded.Originally posted by: MisfitsFiend
naw, it's his...me thinks...

At the procedure, there is a small incision made on each side of the scrotum, and the vas is clipped. Some docs will clamp the end, and some will burn it closed. The actual clipping hurts... kinda like getting kicked, but it passes quickly. The doc I saw offered a shot of valium to reduce 'anxiety'. I had it done on a Friday morning, and took the day off from work. I spent the afternoon in bed with an ice pack and the tv remote. I was advised that until all of the sperm currently in my system were removed, I was still fertile. There was a follow up visit about 2 weeks later to make sure that everything was clear.
All in all, it was no big deal.
The plumbing doctor is a urologist, and it cost me about $400. Insurance took care of most of the cost.

Birth control should be used for a month at least. After stitches are removed all is good. I don't regret doing it.
In all seriousness dude, there's no good reason why she should be snipped, and not you. Vasectomies are an outpatient procedure, you're a bit sore and that's it; tubal ligation is a major, riskier surgury.Originally posted by: xSauronx
