anyone got MBM 5.08 to work on K7S5A ?

never mamanged to get a temp reading besides 51 C

it always says 51 on these MoBo's

only tried two , but same result.

just wondering if i would be trying to fit a square in a round hole trying to get this to work
or if in fact works with the SiS 735 chipset ??


i found on my Giga-byte MoBo the temp were very inaccurate,
is there another good Monitor out there? ( i havent managed to find it so far)

Although I do not have one right now, I have built several systems using the K7S5A. I used MBM (don't remember the version) and MB Probe.I had moderate sucess with both. Did you check the listing for the K7S5A (listed under "Elite") to verify the settings for it? You can find this on the left side of this page. Just scroll down a bit.

I'm guessing you are using an outdated version of MBM-I'm using 5.09 and it was installed back in Oct or Nov, 2001.

When I first used MBM with the KS75A motherboard, you had to install a patch to get it to work right. This was definately fixed by the 5.09 version-no patch needed and it works fine. My temps vary.

Just use the latest version; you don't need to search for v. 5.09 or whatever. The latest one will work just fine as long as you use the correct settings. No patch needed.

yeah wasnt too hard, got 5.107

seems to be good so far, but i do remember with my Gigabyte board & MBM 5.09 the temps wouldnt rise in conjuction with the real temp,
by that i mean i could offset them to the right temp, but if the temp rose i would have to offset it by a different value....
well u can see the uselessness of that.
