Anyone got a DAB car radio?

I'm looking at getting a new car radio: one with a CD player would be nice

Anyway, I'm thinking of the a pioneer CD head unit like the DEH-6300 possibly coupled with the GEXP-700DAB receiver.

Does anyone have any experience with DAB? What's the sound quality and reception like? And do I need to have an external aerial?

I can't believe that on a techno-freak forum like this, not one single soul has a digital radio.

Does anyone know anything at all about DAB?

is it even rolled out yet? Looks like a nifty idea however i was under the idea that you had to subscribe to the DAB or something to get it.

There are a good dozen national stations in the UK, together with a plethora of local ones - and it has been this way for at least 12 months.

DAB seems to be finalized - several car manufacturers are now supplying DAB receivers as standard in high end models.

 

DAB would be cool if ANY radio station played music worth listening too.
