whats the standard deviation of this (to appropritate sig figs)?

12.50
12.50
12.49
12.50
12.49

ive tried everything but the online program wont accept any of it

In sig figs can't the answer only go as far as what the examples were posted to? If your numbers only go to 12.XX then the answer can only be to .XX and the standard deviation is smaller then that (~.005) so I think it would be 0. Don't quote me on this though, Im sketchy in this area

qft😀

standard deviation = stats

sig figs = chem 😉

Dude, I remember this! I remember learning this in high school though. Back then, it was easy. Looking back at it, it seems hard now. haha!

The standard devation is easily found with Excel, a graphing calc, etc.

Shows it as 0.005477226

I believe sig figs in standard deviations is done to one signicant figure.

Then it comes to rounding. If the next number is >= 5, round up, else round down. I think there are other conventions but I dont remember them and if they are widey accepted. But .005477 is closer to .01 than .00.

So the answer should probably be .01
