Anyone gonna watch Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert at 8pm on election night?

techs

Lifer
Stewart and Colbert will be on at 8p (eastern time) on election night. It looks like they might not be on together but that each will do a half hour show, Stewart first.
I'm thinking of catching it.

In each of techs threads you are the first to respond. Do you have an alarm that goes off?

techs has a habit of posting when I'm refreshing P&N waiting for my raid leader to pull in my other window 😉

I own all your internets😀

The real comedy will be on Fox News with pundits who will be foaming at the mouth and at MSNBC when Olbermann has an Obamagasm.

Now, with more Acorn hilarity!

You might as well catch Stewart & Colbert, they've been running hour long infomercials for Obama every day for the past two months. Actually with all the repeats they are on 4 hours a day, they have campaigned more for Obama than Fox news has for McCain.

Planning on it, as well as other sources.
Probably go with PBS, hard to find a non-biased source. Yes, I know how hard The Daily Show leans left.

what is really sad is how many Dems are taking more pleasure in watching Republicans being upset rather than just happy their own party won.

I can honestly say I took no pleasure in the Dem losses in 2000 and 2004. I was just happy with a victory.

That's because Dems are not so enamored with either party. It's just that we are getting rid of a dangerous one.

It's because they are not voting FOR Barack Obama, they are voting AGAINST George Bush.

No, I am voting FOR Barack Obama, not just against dumbya. Last election, unfortunately, was just that. With Obama, there's an enthusiasm that noone's had for a very long time.

+1 for watching Fox News. I want to see their tears.

You really think the people at Fox News, who are richer than you, and who will remain much richer than you 4 years into an Obama presidency... will be in tears over this election? You do know what their ratings are compared to the other news networks, right?

QFT. As much as I like Obama, I don't think that he's going to make everything better. I think he has a chance to improve things by giving us a sound environmental policy, educational policy, and intelligent response to whatever catastrophe that happens. I think that even if money flows out of his programs, it would at least be flowing to a wide range of Americans instead of going to the elites exclusively. I also think he will "end" the Iraq war before his first term is over.

I'm sure that if McCain got into office, things would get worse. We'd stay forever in the black hole known as Iraq with no solid plans for getting out. Corporations will have more and more undue influence, and the income gap will just get wider as he once again pushes for tax cuts for the wealthiest. Also i'm afraid he'd try to push through Supreme Court justices in the mold of Scalia or Thomas.

The way they've campaigned for McCain during this election tells me they'll be a little heartbroken when he loses no matter how rich they are. And because of their many lies and attempts to smear Obama, I would be lying if I said i wouldn't enjoy seeing them eat crow.

So? Vote because you like his plan. Vote because you think his plan can *realistically* be achieved.

But just do not vote just because other people are enthusiastic. Obama is a great speaker and the best campaigner I have ever seen.

Let me guess - you've never actually *watched* Fox News, have you? You probably get all your information second-hand, like perhaps when Jon Stewart picks out a collection of 2-second sound-bytes and rearranges them for comedic impact.
