You can via download order history in your account section. (it's in spreadsheet format)

Cool. I just downloaded mine. It seems I've spent $12.5k at Amazon in 11 years. Not bad. It was interesting seeing some of the things I've purchased and forgotten about.

I'm curious about my Costco purchase history. I bet I've spent over $100k at Costco.

Wow, I hadn't even thought about that. The cheapest iPod Touch is the 8 GB for $229, making the Fire $30 cheaper despite having a 4x larger screen.

But, as of yet, very, very limited media format support. Even more limited than the iPod.

I'm getting one just because I'm curious. Most people aren't like us, they don't want to stay awake half the night rooting hardware, installing roms.
Fire will greet the end user by name when they first boot it, the consumer's digital Amazon content will all be there, they'll also be able to check their email, surf the web & for $199? this thing is going to sell like hot cakes.

A meager $8,714 for me...but this doesn't include AmazonFresh, which I use frequently, and I only really started shopping at Amazon in 2008 when I got Prime - Was too lazy in the pre-Prime days.

I 100% agree. Hopefully people like us will hack it for other roms though! :)

Interesting. I guess that one will be less Playbook like.

I got my Kindle 4 today...way better than my old Kindle 2. Screen is much sharper, its more responsive, and incredibly light...about the weight of my Vibrant.

Looks like Foxconn is getting the contract for the 10" Amazon tablet...

Digitimes is off the mark more often than they're anywhere near it. Either the phrasing is awkward or this article is completely full of crap: ". . . and shipments of the 10.1-inch tablets are likely to begin before year-end 2011 for holiday-season demand, according to industry sources."

If Amazon were going to release a 10" tablet any time soon, they would have announced it alongside the 7" tablet on Tuesday. This smells like link bait to me.

Agreed, with total confidence. That article is complete bullsh*t, specifically the idea that Amazon will have a 10" tablet out before Christmas of this year. So much rubbish.

Just preordered one, though I imagine there's a good chance I'll cancel before it ships, as I really don't need one. I was using an Ipad last night for the first time substantially (other than just playing around in apple store) and its screen size is almost perfect. I'm really concerned that surfing the net on 7" extensively would be a PITA. Also, whoever decided the ipad's onscreen keyboard shouldn't have numerics at the top should be thrown off a cliff.

I remember hearing that you could buy Amazon gift cards at Best Buy using Best Buy gift cards. Do any of you know if that's true? I've had a $100 GC in hand ever since they had that Black Ops PS3 bundle + $100 GC for $299 deal. This seems like as good of a chance as any to cash in.

If not BB, check your local grocery store. A lot of them have a gift card section that has a bunch of different stores.

Except you can't use a Best Buy giftcard in a grocery store...

I wouldn't getting one as a gift for family for $200. Looks like it'll sell like hot cakes as it's priced just right. $200 is the sweet spot imo.

$200 is the cost to make the thing, so Amazon is banking on your family buying lots of books, music, and apps from Amazon.

Fire looks like a great holiday gift for those technologically challenged family members. You could have Grandma up & running in a heartbeat with this. For most geeks though, I have to wonder, how much hacking are you going to do with a device that lacks a micro SD slot and relies heavily on the Amazon Cloud services for it's capabilities?

You make a good point.

So for anyone who has pre-ordered in the last few hours, is your estimated delivery date still assuming a November 15th ship date? Mine shows an estimated delivery on November 16th, but I'm curious if this is changing for anyone since they said pre-orders are first-come-first-serve and they obviously aren't going to have an unlimited supply.

Ordered mine on the first day, shows delivery on the 17th. I ought to order several and sell them, they'll be US only at first, so eBay sales should be brisk.

Mine is showing Nov. 21-29 as the expected delivery but I ordered this morning and I don't have Prime. I placed the order mainly as placeholder and still might cancel.

I didn't notice the lack of SD card. That really limits the usefullness and custom rom potential.
