She is the number 2 all time video popstar on youtube.

As to whether she writes her own songs or copies from others, the jury is still out on that one.

Avril: Hey You, I Didn?t Steal Your Song Lyrics!

Don't you realize that music revolves around stealing someone else's music in one form or another? If this didn't happen, every song would sound completely alien and we'd have nothing to relate to making every song not enjoyable.

Problem is not stealing, but claiming it is original, and there are songs out there that are unique, you just got to get off the beaten track to find them.

If it's slightly different, it can be considered original material as in an original twist to the original.

Unfortunately when lots of money is involved the courts don't always agree with that.

True dat...rotten lawyers.

you should go. I agree that some of her songs are catchy, but I have heard that she isn't the best live.
youtube a few videos of her live and you will see that she sounds not so good.

Life is short. If listening to her music makes you wanna scream from sheer excitement along with the other 12 and 13-year old girls at her concert, go for it.

 Just what I was thinking

Ignore what others tell you.

Do what you want to 😀

If you wanna see Avril in concert, go! 🙂

I saw her in concert after one of her first singles came out. I gotta be honest, I was not impressed. All of the local bands before her sang better and put on a better show than her.

I'd agreed with most of the other posts-
Her songs can be catchy and fun, but as an exception, not a norm.
She has a "punk rock" attitude with a potty mouth to match.
Her live show is terrible, a studio act all the way.
