It's always fun to dress up and get smashed on guinness and then eat a huge turkey leg. I think I'm going to get a bunch of gold dollars and pay for stuff using coins.

Yes yes. I went there once in the early '90s and it's time I went back. Probably about a 5 hour drive.

Ohio has good sized Renaissance Festival off exit 45 as you head north from Cincinnati on I-71 toward Columbus. Believe it's at Harveysburg in the fall. Been there 3 times.

I used to go to Scarborough Faire and Texas Ren Fair back when I lived in Texas. I have sense moved up to PA and allegedly there is one around here somewhere but I have not attended it.

I'm not a huge fan of Ren-fests but I've been to a few. Sometimes they have some artists there that have amazing talent in fine metalwork, leather, and wood.

took my kids the last weekend of it here in az. wasnt horrible, but wasnt the best time ever. we didnt dress up either. lots of hotties to gawk at there, and good food.
