Anyone going to see Saw V this weekend?

Why do people want to see others get tortured and shit?

(YES I know it's not real but it's the idea behind the movies)

Have you ever met people? It doesn't take long before you find someone and think, "wow, I would pay money to see this guy tortured to death." It's perfectly natural; it's mankind's advanced "douchbaggery" gene.

I'll definately see it this weekend. Its kind of a birthday ritual now. Now, they're not actually good movies for the most part, but they are very entertaining.

Can't watch them after watching the scene with the pool of syringes.

/me shudders

That scene was awesome. Which was that, Saw 3?

Saw 1 is still my personal favorite, such an awesome setup.

All these movies do is shock you with torture and gore to make up for their shitty story-line. How people can watch them is beyond me.

I actually enjoy the storyline the most in the Saw movies. I'm not really watching them for gore, and I usually cringe. Straight horror is what I like to watch. But yeah, while some of the scenes kind of disgust me and make me cringe, I don't turn away and don't get ill.

But I haven't seen Saw IV yet, so can't really go see this one. Only watched through the third movie.

Saw I actually had a good story without a lot of gore. Most of the violence was implied or described rather than shown in full detail on screen. Since then, the producers seem to have been sacrificing more story for gore with each new installment. I liked Saw II and III just because they tied up the loose ends from the first one. Saw IV was just a jumbled mess with lots of gore thrown in for shock value. The story would only make sense to someone who had recently seen the first 3 movies, and/or remembered all of the loose ends that were left. I suppose I should probably re-watch the movies if I want to have a chance of understanding the 5th one. 😉

Having said that, I'll probably still see Saw V just to see what happens 😀

What, no See-saw jokes?

Haven't seen any others and won't see this one. I can barely make time to watch good movies.

I'd rather they came out with another Hostel.

Ewww... I like the Saw movies enough but Hostel is just plain awful. THAT is a series with absolutely no plot, just watching people get tortured. You have to on the wrong side of demented to enjoy them.
