Anyone going to Comdex next week in Las Vegas?

My friend went last year and he told me it was rather lame but I'm sure it won't be that bad considering this is my first time.

What sucks is my boss also took vacation on the same days and told me he'll be going also. He even joked about bunking up with the guys that I'm going with, which scared me because he looked serious.

Yah I am heading down there to do some work on Thursday for a couple weeks. So I figured I might as well hit up Comdex.

It has lost it's sheen since the dotcom bust. I think some sites didn't even cover it last year if I remember correctly.

Ah, I remember the back in the day when companies gave away very nice prizes during the Comdex show. The show was so big it was expand to 2-3 Consino Convention centers where they use buses to shuttle you around. Now it's dead and lame. Is Bill Gate still going to be the Keno speaker to kick on Comdex this year?

Nope. It has become worthless to the point that company will not pay for it.

But then if I did go it would just be a fun Vegas mini-trip.

I'm going 5th year in a row. Comdex has been in a serious decline since DOTCOM bust, but it's in Vegas so you go the first day, if there isn't any action then well, let me see what else can you do in Vegas. Hrm...
