Anyone going to check out "Zero Hour" thursday night?

I'll be checking it out. Got the DVR set to record. I'll probably wait till I get a few episodes recorded before I start watching it though.

I just watched it. It is a very interesting premise. However, it has the feel of a story that would best be told in a movie rather than a tv series.

It was an enjoyable first episode. It will be interesting to see where it goes.

It was meh, but it was only the first episode. The acting was pretty poor to say the least. Didn't see anything compelling me to watch it next week.

I did happen to catch the first episode of The Walking Dead season 1. Now THAT is how you do a series premier.

I agree about the acting. On the other hand I really liked the story.

I did check it out and wasn't impressed. The acting was meh but the writing was just awful.

example: As he's walking through the park on the phone, stops to tie his shoe lace.

Terrorist: keep walking.
Edwards: Just like this? Like I'm doing right now?
Terrorist: yeah, yeah Just like that.

I literally laughed out loud at that part.

Read this online and it sums it up. It is spoilerish so put in spoiler tags:

And the facts about Zero Hour are as follows: Nazis, Nazisicles, underground religious secret societies, trained assassins, possibly immortal demonic babies with milky eyes, and clocks, clocks, clocks! Now that we have the facts, here's a headline: "What the fuck did I just watch?"

Bad acting, even by guys like Edwards. Pacing was horrible. The way the characters acted was ludicrous. That said, maybe now that they have set things up it will actually be interesting and good. I doubt it, but maybe.

I have it DVR'd...I'll watch it later.

The premise looks good...but I don't have high hopes that they'll actually deliver.

Like techs said, I think it would be better as a movie than as a weekly series.

(damn, did I just agree with him? ) 😱

😛

Well it finished tonight. Anyone else follow it to the end?

I think it was interesting and definitely a different plot that I've not seen before. I don't know if it will be back - I don't see how. It seems like they played out the story as intended.
So did Melanie die or live? I assumed that White Vincent stayed to make sure she died and he was sacrificing himself, but he was in with the boy at the end. Also, didn't they want to keep Alima (SP?) safe and keep what she is and is carrying a secret? How did that get out?
I wouldn't mind seeing more shows only last like 1 season to tell a specific story and then finish, especially if its good. It would be like reading a book or watching a movie. forcing a show to go on when there's nothing new is pointless.

Although they did kind of leave it open with investigating all the other mysteries, like bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, etc. I think if they "wanted a monster of the week "show like that they should have made it that way initially and have the clock/Jesus cloning story be something that happens every few weeks or so, sort of like X-files, Fringe, Grimm, etc.

edit: so apparently it was cancelled around the 3rd episode but they aired the rest anyway
