I hate having old parents.

Yes! SAME HERE!!

I'm in high school, and BOTH my parents are in the their 50s . . .

We don't really celebrate Thanksgiving (usually just go to someone's house and eat food there)

This year, I asked them if I could camp out near BestBuy with 4 of my friends. We're all mature people, and the Police Station is just a block away, so if there's a problem, they can come soon

My parents reply - "I'll take you to the store at 3PM"

Lol, the whole store will be empty by then!

Same here. Mine are in the mid-50s and it eats balls. They complain about me being on the computer all the time, yet we live in a sh1tty neighborhood which none of my friends even live close to, I'm not allowed to get my license, and they're never willing to take me places.

I was thinking about asking my dad to loan me 200 dollars this BF and I'd pay him back after auctioning off some of the stuff that came with what I wanted to buy, but I know he'll just say no and I'm tired of always being at odds with him.

That's why you look at the BF sites and buy the item, then just return it sometime throughout the day on BF and get it for the BF price. If only I had money and if only my dad wasn't so skeptical. I hate having old parents.

rumors are that bestbuy will have the customer service desk closed during the sale hours. no more buy/return/buyback.

yes well someone in the official BF thread in hot deals was denied even purchasing those items tonight because he wouldn't accept "no return 11/26-28" being written on his receipt by the manager. He just had the whole thing voided and walked out... hahaha u suckas got served.

I saw a couple signs @ the local BB saying no returns on Friday...

from my experience, they're open, but as regular cashiers. 😀

I will be working on that day. Sigh..

Personally I think the majority of people that shop on Black Friday are Idiots. Getting up at 4am to stand in lines for a store is beyond me.
All christmas shopping should be done on December 24.....at 5:55pm, at least for me, anyway.

But seriously, I'm too stuffed full of turkey, dressing, gravy, and cranberry sauce that was served in teh shape of the can. BF should be officially renamed the "day of yummy leftovers".

the one thing i'm worried about is having no bathroom while waiting 6 hours in line. i swear i'm gonna have to "drop the kids off at the pool" sometime during the night after having eaten such a large dinner. oh well, thank god for charmin ultra. 😛

I am certain I must have some kind of phobia that this sort of situation really aggrevates. Just thinking about the lines, the crowds, rudeness and products out of stock is making me twitchy 😛

Yes, I was planning on camping out in front of a store. WAS planning, before my car decided it didn't ever want to start again. :|

Now I don't know what the hell I'm going to do, because I need to get it fixed this weekend - exam on Monday, home is 175 miles away from school. 🙁

everytime someone has tried in the front of the line the past few years people have called the cops. this is at city of industry best buy in southern california. ive camped out with my friends the past 3 years.

how early do u get there, and how far along are you in line?

You should have called your BB today to see how many they have...some stores have 25, others have almost 80. That would have helped in your decision on what time to get there.

B/c this laptop is $500 after instant saving, id say it will be very popular. I would plan on getting there very early.

early... as in 1am... 2am?

Depends, Ive seen reports from last year that people went at 3am and were not the first in line and other reports that people went 30 minutes before they opened with only a few before them in line. If your bb had 80 of them, Id say 4am....if there are only 25, I say around 2:30-3am probably.

EDIT: If I were planning on going there, Id get up at around 2am. Drive by BB and check it out...depending on what I see, I may go get some food and come back later.

damn i just woke up. maybe i should go back to sleep and wake up at 10pm and start getting ready for BB 😛
