Anyone getting the GTAIV Lost and Damned expansion?

I ordered it but hope it is worth it. They said the motorcycle mechanics were improved and that it adds about 10-15 hrs worth of gameplay, which is good.

BTW, check out the thread in Hot Deals I made to basically get the expansion for free 😀 (No it's not a referral thing)
 
its xbox exclusive right? guess i'm not getting it then :/ i'm so pissed lol. GTA used to a sony loyal franchise, and now they have an xbox exclusive :/

This was public knowledge a year or two before GTA 4 was released. "Loyalty" has nothing to do with it when shareholders are involved.

I'll be getting this... eventually. My stack of unplayed games is ridiculous.

I'm not questioning that...I'm just saying sony used to be the one that would get this game, but now the tables have turned.
 
Yep planned on it, but just saw the deal in hot deals a few minutes ago so I plan on ordering it tomorrow.

I'm not sure. I stopped playing GTA IV because I wasn't having fun. I'm having fun with Saints Row 2 right now. I may pick it up after I beat Saints Row 2 if I'm bored and can't find anything else.
 
I don't understand how everyone things SR2 is more fun. Maybe its just me, I rented it and couldn't get into it, it just seemed like the driving was really fake.

I liked both GTA4 and Saints Row 2, I just happened to like SR2 a lot more. The "fake" driving mechanics in SR2 were 100x more fun for me in comparison to the "everything handles like an aircraft carrier" driving mechanics of GTA4.

But if you were led to believe that SR2 would provide a more realistic experience than GTA4, you were told wrong. Personally, I don't find mass murder with limited consequence games realistic in the least, so I don't get hung up on real or fake driving controls.
 
Getting it,.. its the main reason I even bought a 360. Will be buying my points this Friday on payday, awaiting the chance to start downloading it and riding around on a chopper.
 
The latest episode of Gametrailers TV was devoted to The Lost and the Damned. A lot of cutscene clips and a fair amount of info straight from Rockstar for people interested in it.
 
No, I lost interest in GTA IV quickly. I kept going back to it and trying, but it just didn't grab me the way the other GTA's did.
 
Looking back I don't even know why I bought GTA4. Talk about getting caught in the hype. I never finished GTA3 or Vice City because the missions got too repetitive and boring. I don't know why I expected 4 to be any different.
 
Unless it's 100x more exciting than GTA4, then no. I played the game for 20+ hours and don't want to touch it again.
