Anyone getting No More Heroes?

I am seriously considering it, but the game seems to be passing almost unnoticed. Does anybody care? Or are all the Wiifans too busy playing Wii Sports 😛

I want this game. It looks fun as shit but it only brings the number of games I'd play on the Wii to 2 so not worth it.

This game isn't really aimed at the target demographic of the Wii, i.e. everybody but actual gamers. So basically, I'd be surprised if it sold more than 150k copies in the US.

150K? I hope it sells at least that much but I bet it'll sell less than half that! Damn shame really. I'll get it eventually as it seems like a nice game with some style to it.

I was looking forward to it too. waiting for a few user opinions... altho, mostly waiting for a used copy.. i'm going to be dirt poor soon again.

From what I've played so far, the game is incredibly fun and entertaining. I'd recommend people check it out, whether it be by rental or borrow from a friend.

I'll wait for it to hit $30.
Like Zack and Wiki, another supposed gem from Capcom for the Wii.

That game was great. It's a shame that not many people played it or purchased the game, but I kinda expected that. It's the kind of game that will turn many games off, similar to how Okami did, and they will never even give it a chance.

I'm loving the game so far, but I have only just become the 10th greatest assassin. I'll play a bit more before posting a complete opinion.

Picked it up yesterday, played it for a few hours last night. It is a blast, will probably make me check out Killer 7 on the PS2 after I beat it.

I would have to say if you own a Wii, you you consider yourself a gamer, and you DON'T have this game, you have failed miserably at being a gamer with a Wii.

This game should do spectacularly in the U.S., it will be a total tragedy if it ends up like Zack and Wiki, another AAA Wii title that deserves/d to see 1m+ easily.

It's games like this that make me completely pissed off when people talk about how there are no good 3rd party games on the Wii. Bullshit, this is one of several.

Usually a statement like "no good 3rd party games" doesn't necessarily mean there aren't any, but that they are so far and few in between that their existence still doesn't bolster the 3rd party games when shoved amongst the not-so-good games.

I can't help but think this would have sold alot on the 360.

You are probably right.

It'll probably get ported over before too long. It can't be that hard to get the uber ATI card to do the job that the old lil' ATI guy is doing in the Wii, and they both have PowerPC cores. It can't be that hard.

Hell, tweak the controls and do max AA & up the rez, outsource some higher rez textures, and you're done, right? It has to be just that simple 😀

sounds promising... zack and wiki is $30 at gamestop this week btw. I was going to pick it up, but now can't decide which to get.

I picked it up today, I've only put an hour into it so far but so I have to say this is a very odd game but tons of fun so far.

I got this today and have played it for a few hours. Style is similar to Killer 7 but a much lighter tone, and the gameplay is a lot more fun and accessible. I really like it, it's a very unique game.

True, but I think people keep forgetting that the Wii is only a year old and most companies ignored it at first. It's not surprising that most of the initial titles were cheesy money makers. Now that the system is for real, there should be a lot more good games coming out or in development.

The 3rd party games have been a lot better recently though. Zack and Wiki, No More Heroes, & Trauma Center were all great games. I'm still playing No More Heroes but I'm pretty far through it and enjoying every bit of it.

I rented it from Block Buster over the weekend and have been playing it off and on since then.

So far it's a lot of fun in general but the free roam parts that are Grand Theft Auto'ish are a bit lacking.

You can't beat up random people, you can't carjack anyone, you can't even blow anything up or even hurt yourself if you crash.

But the real fun is when you go to kill another assassin to climb up in rank, the level that leads up to the "boss fight" is almost more fun IMO than the actual boss fight since you can just take on large numbers of foes and chop some heads.

The bosses on the other hand, while fun are a bit tiring and since you don't actually swing the wiimote like or sword or anything, you're basically just doing the low/high movement in between kicking (B) and slashing (A) and here and there a wrestling move.

I guess I just wish it were more true movements for fighting rather than just mashing AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA over and over.

But over all, it's a very fun game.

I don't think I'll buy it as I'll probably have it beat before I have to return it, but worth buying nonetheless IMO.
