I have a mix of MP3s and CD WAV files I want to put on my new SanDisk Sansa Clip+. I WILL NOT Convert these Wave files to MP3, and I know lots of you will suggest ;-)

On Amazon it sez it does support WAV files, but I'm reading this may not be the case.

I rip everything now to MP3. I refuse to go back over all the WAV files and convert...or rip all those CDs again.

just drag and drop to foobar, mass convert to lame vbr mp3 v0
on a modern processor it'll rip through those wav files at 100x+
on any modern drive you should have enough space for both copies:p

Just do a batch conversion to MP3. A few mouse clicks, have some lunch, come back and it will be done. Yes, I know you said you will not convert them. Make life hard on yourself when there are easy ways around it that take almost no time.

Reading the Sandisk website and the published specifications for the clip+ .WAV files are not mentioned as supported, which probably means that .WAV files are not supported. The only way you'll be able to playback your .WAV files is to buy a different player that supports that format or convert your files to a supported format for the clip+.

Sorry if that's not the answer you want, but I'm fairly confident the answer you want would be a lie.

why so stubborn, reading wav probably rape the battery life to boot. why so picky, you are buying some cheap ass mp3 player, it doesn't matter.
