LOL, I have the DFI Ultra D sitting here, 3000 Venice on the way and that Freezer64 cooler also. Make sure you lap that thing. Mine was pretty ruff, but it's smooth as a babies butt now. I was thinkin about spicing it up with some uv paint to match my board...... Do maybe the bar that comes out to the fan in one color, then the fan in another, lol. bored of waiting i guess.

Got my 3500+ Venice from Monarch today. Definitely won't do 2.8ghz on air with stock volts. I did 4 hrs prime stable at 2.6ghz with 1.47volts. 2.7ghz seems to be stable at 1.6volts but my load temp is in the 60's if my motherboard sensor can be trusted. Still playing with it trying to find the top. Wish I was adventurous enough to get into extreme cooling methods. I really don't think these chips are gonna outperform winnie's too much on air guys. Bit better than the last few batches of winnies I guess. Who knows, yields might get better down the road.

Got any more details on your overclock (MB, HSF, PSU, memory...)?
Make sure you post to the venice oc thread.

Thanks.

Thats actually quite a bit better than the majority of winnies. There are a few guys with ones that seemed to do 2.7-2.8ghz on air with decent voltage <1.7vcore. But the majority (silent majority mind you) seemed to do not quite that hot.

I think your results are exceptional.

2.6ghz on 1.47vcore?? :D LOL you are spoiled man if you arent satisfied with that!

I'm going for 2.5ghz on stock voltage, run 1:1@DDR500. Should be easy on the cooler and rig. That will be my everyday settings.

Will tinker higher at the 1.7vcore setting and see what can be done.. but I think 2.5ghz on my 3200+ will be easy, and easy on all the parts.

And as always, I'm prepared to run stock if needs be. ;)
