last time i took my car to get inspected, i dont remember it taking 15 mins per car. i went during lunch and there was this sign that said there was a 23 min wait. ok... it was 12:30, so i didn't think much of it. while on line for 25 mins, i saw two cars actually go into the inspection hub. i dunno if any cars actually left the hub, but i know two went in. is it normal that a car inspection that take long? i seriously don't remember it being like this. or are the workers in nj just retarded?

Here in Florida, it takes about 0 minutes per car since we don't have no stinking inspections!

My inspection in June took all of 2 minutes, and that was at the end of the month when it's usually busy. (NJ)

In Ohio, we have random inspections along the highway (which I have seen happen once in my time of driving, and I was able to drive past because they only took so many cars and then closed it again)

Maryland - it gets inspected every time you start a new registration. Renewal and transfers don't count. So this usually amounts to "once" :p

And then every couple of years they make you come and get an emissions test - if you fail, you have to blow like $200 pretending to fix it, come back, fail again, and they'll waive you. Takes about 5 minutes per vehicle for this.

NY - my last few inspections took about 20 minutes...

And... I knew they didn't but how come some states don't have inspections ? I can't believe they let sh!t cars (like the ones you would see on Pimp My Ride before they're worked on) roam the streets legally. That can't be safe.

No car inspection in Illinois. :) Decent DMVs too, when one is outside of the Chicago area.

New Jersey I believe, that by law, all stations are Full-Serve.

Although only 7 locations. The online reservation seems to be borked.
