Can't you get inspections by appointment now?

i went the the public dmv inspection place, and i don't think they make appointments. i could call up a garage to make an appointment, but i gotta pay them to inspect my car. the public dmv inspection place is free... well.. up until i have to bribe the dude for something.

Although only 7 locations. The online reservation seems to be borked.

owned.

last time i took my car to get inspected, i dont remember it taking 15 mins per car. i went during lunch and there was this sign that said there was a 23 min wait. ok... it was 12:30, so i didn't think much of it. while on line for 25 mins, i saw two cars actually go into the inspection hub. i dunno if any cars actually left the hub, but i know two went in. is it normal that a car inspection that take long? i seriously don't remember it being like this. or are the workers in nj just retarded?

you nailed it
Except it's not just the workers. ;)

NY - my last few inspections took about 20 minutes...

And... I knew they didn't but how come some states don't have inspections ? I can't believe they let sh!t cars (like the ones you would see on Pimp My Ride before they're worked on) roam the streets legally. That can't be safe.

That's the scary part. Here in Cali we have smog Nazis but you car can be falling apart and be on the road. I believe the police can ticket you and what not if they feel like it.
