i would order, but i dont see any RECENT reviews for this board...still tending much more towards the MSI until i see one with the Gigabyte board running, recent bios and its confirmed it has pci-lock and is a good overclocker.

Just ordered it from 3g (see above). I have questions about HSF and psu, though. I have a 400w rosewill psu that came in my case, but only 17amps on the 12v. Had I better upgrade? I hear a lot on the ocz powerstream, which is not available...what about the modstream? Will the zalman 7700 fit this mobo?

I don't know if the 7700 Zalman will fit, the 7000 does. And with the power requirements of these newer boards (nf3 onward), I would find a decent power supply with a bare minimum of 24a on the 12v rail.

Thanks...any suggestions what psu (looking to stay sub $90 if I can)? The 450w modstream seems pretty close to that bare minimum, and I do plan on overclocking. Tigerdirect has a 500w xconnect for $69 with rebate, but it's not 24pin or pcie.

Stay away from the X-Connect, they aren't as trustworthy as purported to be. Here's a decent ps that would suit your needs and won't break the bank--->
AGPB-AP-P4ATX50F12
or Rosewill 500W-RE502-SLV

Forgot one, probably the best of the bunch--> PCMCIS 500W-PSP4ATX50F

The AGPB comes with a 20-pin atx to 24-pin btx adapter and for a ps that is straight 20-pin atx there is this from Thermaltake---> Adapter I'm using it with an Antec True 480. The AGPB is better rated than my revision of the Antec--which is over $100, and not worth it in my opinion.

Edit: The only thing needed for these PCI-E boards is the 4-pin 12v connector, and a 4-pin molex connector, outside of the 24-pin btx power connector most of the boards are requiring.

As for another article about the non-SLI Gigabyte nForce4 board, here is another older article. The last page concerns me as it mentions lack of control over the multiplier, resulting in limited OC'ing capability...

The non-sli board is a totally different animal than the GA-K8NXP-Sli.

OK, I thought maybe some of that would apply. The Tbreak article didn't give much detail on the OC'ing, except that it did "fairly well" or something...
