Anyone fly Air Jamaica recently?

So it seems like there's many horror stories involving Air Jamaica recently. So much so that I'm debating whether I'd be better off taking an American Airlines flight to Jamaica that has one layover each way, instead of nonstop Air Jamaica flights. Another option is to just not go to Jamaica and do an all-inclusive elsewhere.

As long as you get their in one piece in a respectable time (not over an hour behind), i doubt there should be a problem. The only problems i have eber had with any airline are luggage related.

Well these reviews aren't exactly the most assuring. However, most of those reviews are from London to Jamaica. I'm hoping that NY to Jamaica would be a bit better.
