Anyone find the Logitech G5 too heavy even WITHOUT weights?

My previous mouse was a MX500 and I took the weight out (inside) to make it lighter.. then I broke that mouse and got a G5.... IVe noticed that the G5 (without any weights) is still much heavier than the old MX500 (without the weight)..... anyone know if there's a default weight inside that G5?

I prefer the MX518 also in terms of weight. "Also" because I think it's a better mouse than the G5, overall.

Is there a weight inside the 518 that you can take out like the MX500?

Is there a weight inside if you unscrew the bottom? I don't want to void warranty only to find out that there isnt..... couldnt google it either so if someone can tell me that would be great!

I also went from MX500 to a G5 I did notice a small difference in the feel, but got use to it after the first day and love it. The second poster is right u need to hit the gym u weakling 😛

ive played css for 4+ years and ive never had trouble adapting to a mouse like the g5... its not the issue of how much weight i can carry, its the issue of how much the mouse has changed!

There shape of the mouse is the same as the MX500, with the DPI adjustment buttons there instead of scrolling up and down. So what major changes are u talking about

Actually I just put them beside each other and the MX500 looks flatter, G5 is bigger.... and if I palm the G5 it feels like its slipping out of my hands while the MX500 grips tight to my hand.... G5 is also heavier than the MX500 without any weights.. feels so weird!

i'm pretty sure u just need to get out more and go to the gym to pump some iron cuz if this is a problem for you, u should see a doctor

what's with you guys telling him to work out? if he can take off the side panel of his case (which he needs to to be able to put his parts in), then he can left a mouse. i'm sure someone's gonna say "maybe he had help" or something.

OP, why don't you just get the MX500 again if you're having such a hard time adjusting to the g5? i don't knwo how long you had it but if you've had it for more than 2 weeks and aren't adjusted, i'd just return it and get a new mx500

I agree I went from a mx1000 to a G5 and hated it the first night. Then realizing after about 9 hours of oblivion i grew to love it. I know have my mx1000 sitting on the desk and everytime i touch it it feels wierd. dropping down in dpi thought would be bad. You dont notice it until you get a higher resolution.
If you dont adjust to in a week or two def take it back.
Now if only they will come out with a mx1000 design with a higher DPI

something doesnt feel natural about this mouse, almost feels like it doesnt fit my hand LOL.. with my mx500, the first second i used it, i got use to it and it fit my hand perfectly

and i cant even use more than 800dpi on this mouse on windows, wayy too fast..

in games, if i set dpi to 1600, i have to set my sensitivity to 1.5 (CSS)....

didnt know i had to adapt THAT much..

it doesn't fir your hand? maybe u should try a notebook mouse.. those might be smaller and lighte. LOL@someone helping him remove side panel hahaha i shouldn't be talking i only bench 310
