How much did it cost and where did you goto get it?

What about any online sites? Any you'd recommend?

you go to the county clerks office, the Oakland County one for example is in Pontiac. I think LLC is $100. A regular partnership is $10 IIRC. You can also do S-Corp or a few others, you should research the differences to see which suits you best. I doint think you can do it online unless things have changed in the past few years.

EDIT: actually, now that I think of it you may need to drive to a place in lansing to do the LLC, and to register a business name. I'm sure google can help you...

DBA aka sole proprietorship but in MI known as assumed name certificates: file with the county clerk, does not offer the protection of a corp or LLC

LLC -filed with the secretary of state.

there are quite a few companies online you can do this with, just google!

urm i'm not familiar with how MI issues drivers licenses. the secretary of state is located in lansing. you can mail in your articles of organization - the address is on the form.
